Numerous times I have asked someone in an interview, What is your gap? Often this question is met with a puzzled expression, so I follow up with What is an area that you would like to improve? The majority of time people reply with, “I have no gaps”.
What would you answer?
Self-science is about knowing thyself and maximising self-awareness. One of the fundamental components is, to be honest with yourself, and this can only come with regular reflection. This reflection will help you to identify the “gaps” and also accept who you are.
We all have areas of our life we need to improve. The “gaps” and finding solutions are what makes life exciting and helps us to retain our curiosity and a focus on continual improvement.
We are never a finished product, so stop pretending and start living your truth.
“It’s not what others can do for you it’s
what you can do for them”
